At present it is not a legal requirement for a driver in the UK to report a collision with a cat to the Police. Or anyone else for that matter.
However, a new petition that aims to change this is currently gathering signatures on the UK Parliament website. Once 100,000 signatures have been reached the petition will be considered for debate in the UK Parliament.
The deadline for closure is 2nd August 2022 and at time of posting was at 22,325 signatures.
